Sunny Days...

Hey Everybody! Last night Mommy and Daddy dropped Claire off with MaMa and PaPa Funke and took me to see Sesame Street Presents: Elmo Makes Music. I was a little scared at first--I'd never been to a play before--so I held tight to Daddy for the first half of the show. I was pretty impressed with all of the lights and music. And really impressed that Mommy and Daddy knew a lot of the songs!

They sold Elmo balloons during intermission. It was a little overwhelming for me to see all those Elmo heads in the crowd! I sure knew who he was, though. When the show ended, everyone came out on stage and said, "Goodbye." I told each one of them, "Bye-bye," although I don't think they could hear me (even though I said it very loudly).

In other knews, Claire is getting really close to rolling over. She can get most of her top half over and is working on her lower half. Surely she'll be able to play with me soon... Mommy puts her on her tummy a lot during the day so Claire can "exercise." I don't think she likes it too much. Here's a rare shot of her smiling during "tummy time":

This is what she usually looks like:

Later gators!

Pee and Parties

Hey everybody! We had a busy weekend. Friday I peed in the potty again. Mommy and Daddy were really excited! I keep telling Mommy when I have to poop, but when she puts me on the potty, I get stage fright. Maybe someday soon I'll decide to do it. Also that day, my Mommy's friend Rebecca had a baby. His name is Jake. He looks pretty cute from the pictures I've seen. I hope I get to meet him someday soon and teach him lots of neat things.

Saturday night Daddy threw Mommy a surprise party for her big birthday. There were lots of people here. Some of them even brought their kids for me to play with. I showed them my sandbox right away. The kids were all really excited about it, but I'm not sure about their parents. We had cake and ice cream and it was really good. We're still eating the cake!

Today is Claire's 3 month birthday. She's getting a little more fun for me. She's laughing now, especially if I laugh at her first. Today Mommy dragged out my old exersaucer. Claire liked it for about 5 minutes. Mommy says her hair is falling out. I hope she doesn't go bald.

I'd better go. It's nap time! Catch ya later!

Another Big B-Day

Hey, everybody! This is Claire, and this is my first blog post! My Mommy's friend Gennifer came for a visit this week with Isabella, who's a little less than a year older than me. They brought me this cool shirt!

They said we should come visit them in New York City, but Daddy says we can't - something about a Ford? I don't know, but NY sounds great - playgrounds and parks and zoos and aquariums and taking the train everywhere!

Today was my Mommy's birthday! She's been moping around about it for a month, at least. I don't know why; Jack says birthdays are awesome, and that I should just wait until I have one. Apparently after 28 or 29 of them, you change your mind. But we had some strawberry pie (Mommy's favorite), and that seemed to brighten the mood:

So you can probably guess from the picture who got pie and who got formula. :(

Jack and I got Mommy a card, too. It had some guy named Bob that my brother knows on it. She thought it was pretty funny. Apparently it's "altered"?

Anyway, happy birthday, Mommy - we love you!
