Christmas 2008

Yeah, yeah. I know this is late. I've just been so busy playing with all of my new toys--who has time to blog? Christmas was fantastic. We went to Nana and Happy's house on Christmas Eve. The whole family went to candelight service, which I only made it through about 5 minutes of and then we got up the next morning and opened presents. We stayed at Nana and Happy's house all day and I played my little heart out.
We left early Saturday morning (just ahead of some nasty storms) and then spent the evening with MaMa and PaPa Funke, Aunt Allison and Uncle Jody, Aunt Meagan and Uncle Sam, Uncle David, and Ethan (who I like to call "Gagee"). I got lots of Cars paraphanalia, but I really liked the toy golf clubs the best. I also liked watching Aunt Allison and Mommy play RockBand. Daddy wouldn't play. Party pooper.
The next day, we finally opened our presents from Mommy and Daddy. And then Grandma Cindy and PaPa Dennis, MoMo and PaPa, Uncle Tanner, and everyone else you can think of came over for lunch. Daddy fried a turkey (his first of many to come, he says) and then we opened more presents. I opened some trains first and didn't want to open any others after that. What could be better than trains? It was a wonderful, whirlwind Christmas and I'm still asking where the "Kickus Tree" and "Kickus lights" went. I just loved it so much. And Mommy and Daddy say they only get better.

What absolutely beautiful Christmas memories! Have fun playing with your trains, and all of your other goodies, Jack. You're such a great brother, I know you'll be sure to share with Claire! :)
